Life can sometimes get complicated when we least expect it, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Often, the first step to turning things around is realizing you are not alone. When someone is: listened to, cared for, and encouraged in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment, life changing discoveries can be made. Building on your strengths, exploring your thought patterns and uncovering solutions that align with your goals and values is what therapy means to me. I would be honoured to be a resource for you on your journey towards healing, growth, and resilience.

I am also a certified Menopause Coach, and I’m deeply passionate about supporting women through one of life’s biggest transitions.
After over 20 years as a social worker and starting my career as a Parole Officer, I made the bold choice to walk away from the traditional path and focus fully on my private practice. Why? Because I believe in the power of personal transformation, and I’m here to help you tap into that power. In our work together, I’ll meet you exactly where you are, supporting you with empathy, curiosity, and a little bit of humor. My goal is to help you see the strengths you already have and use them to break through whatever’s holding you back. Together, we’ll tackle challenges and set you on the path to becoming the best version of yourself!

Your most immediate need may be to recover a daily life that works for you, or to cope with stress, or to grieve a loss.
I listen carefully, and I ask the questions which help you to discover the answers you didn't know you knew. Coaching conversations become an opportunity to clarify issues and values, and to imagine and plan next steps. The Coaching relationship supports you as you turn intention into reality.

I help people navigate major life transitions and reconnect with themselves in a more authentic way.
Together, we’ll slow down and explore what’s really happening beneath the surface—what emotions need space, what patterns are asking to be seen, and what becomes possible when you relate to yourself differently. I help clients move from self-doubt and overthinking toward clarity, calm, and a renewed sense of personal power.

Life can feel complicated, heavy, or just… flat.
Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or heavy—it can be a thoughtful conversation that helps you sort through what’s working, what’s not, and what you really want from life. We can get honest about the parts of life that feel disappointing or confusing. Our sessions can focus both on understanding your past and on creating a more fulfilling future.

Whether you’re feeling lost in your relationship with food or simply overwhelmed by all that life is asking of you right now, therapy can be a place to pause and breathe.
You might be feeling like you’re constantly at war with food, your body, or your own expectations. Maybe you find yourself stuck in cycles of restricting, bingeing, or purging—or you just can’t turn off the critical inner voice. You may also be navigating intense academic pressure, social anxiety, or a deep sense of self-doubt, especially in high school or university. You’re doing your best to hold it all together, but inside, it feels overwhelming. What you want most is relief—a sense of ease in your body, clarity in your mind, and confidence in who you are. You’re ready to feel more in control, more connected, and more understood.

Life Coaching Counsellors

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
