Sometimes anger shows up—not out of nowhere, but from feelings that never had a chance to be understood or expressed.
I support individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, anger, grief, and burnout. Together, we work on emotional regulation and finding relief. I also help couples strengthen communication and feel more connected. I use EMDR therapy, parts work, Gottmam method, somatic therapy, and emotion-focused approaches to support meaningful change.

Perhaps for as long as you can remember, you’ve experienced emotions more intensely and deeply than other people. Maybe you feel the need for constant validation in your relationships, or every challenge you face feels like the end of the world, leading you to engage in behaviors destructive to yourself and your relationships. These patterns might leave you feeling ashamed, misunderstood, or even broken. It’s not just the emotional rollercoaster it the continuous turmoil, the fear of being left behind, never feeling good enough, and always feeling like a life worth living is out of reach.

Life’s been changing a lot lately - and instead of feeling exciting, it just feels… like a lot. Maybe you’re starting something new, ending something old, or trying to figure out what’s next, and it’s heavier than you expected. Stress builds fast, your mood dips, and your emotions can feel all over the place. One minute you’re fine, the next you’re overwhelmed or shut down. You’re trying to keep it together and do the “right” things - but it’s not feeling as manageable as it used to.

Anxiety, Trauma, Attachment injuries, Relationships, Life Transitions, Anger Management, these are the issues I work with most often.
Anxiety, Trauma, Emotional Regulation, Self-Esteem and Relationship Issues are where I focus. I tend to work a lot with male clients starting therapy for the first time, and female clients who are looking for a different approach from their previous therapist. I fucking love my job, because I get the honour of partnering with people in doing the difficult work of instigating real change in their lives. If the status quo is no longer working for you, send me an email, let's set up a time to talk and you can tell me what's going on and where you need to see change. If I can help, I will. If I can't, I'll help find someone who can.

Since my goal is to help people know how to be emotionally healthy, it covers all areas from communication, conflict reduction and resolution, emotional healing, and dealing with difficult people, to helping with anger, anxiety, and depression.
Chad is an award winning therapist with 20 years experience... and doesn't actually enjoy writing in the third person. I'm a bit different than traditional therapists as I often have more smiles than tears in my office, but either way, my hope is to help individuals, couples, and families feel safe enough to share their lives. I find men who are nervous about trying therapy, women who want to understand their husbands better, and those who haven't had the best experience in therapy tend to really like my down to earth style that is influenced by my training in solution focused therapy, CBT, EFT, and DBT.

Is there something difficult in your life that you've thought about countless times, but can't seem to shift? Would it help to have someone to look at it with, someone who's curious about your perspective and sees it from a slightly different angle? It can be scary to imagine unpacking and examining how we relate to others and ourselves: it often involves exploring where we've been in order to understand where we are and where we're headed. If you're up for the adventure, I'd like to be a fellow explorer; a curious companion who strives to be well-provisioned in support of the journey ahead.

I enjoy working with individuals on anger management, substance use, depression, and anxiety.
Currently accepting new clients. Many of my clients are veterans, first responders, and adults who have been carrying trauma and difficult experiences for years, in some cases most of their lives, without relief. They frequently feel stuck, that they can't process these experiences, and that their symptoms have taken over and keep them from doing the things that they love. They often want to move forward and reclaim their lives. In treatment I support them in this journey, coming from a place of compassion and understanding for what they carry, and seeing and accepting them for who they are right now.

I particularly find focusing on the following areas rewarding: Anger management and increasing emotional regulation; Anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, and family relationships; and engaging in Trauma-informed treatment for young people who have endured trauma and/or abuse.
My name is Tanya and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the province of Ontario. I work primarily with children, adolescents, and their families to help support them through the transitions and changes that all families encounter - whether it's the start or change of school, changes within the family structure, or changes associated with puberty and development, etc.

I am so excited you are here! Therapy for me has been a place of safety, growth, and healing, and my passion is to provide the same for you. I believe we are born with an intuitive sense of knowing, and as we grow up, our experiences can either drown out, or confuse our own intuition. My goal is for you to find a place of safety in which you can heal, and gently tune back in to your own voice & intuition to guide you. Your unique experiences and pain deserve to be given attention and care, and through this process we can discover and heal what is hindering you from living your life to the fullest.

Anger Management Counsellors
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
