At GRO, we see you - the Black woman tired of being the strong one and second-guessing yourself, whether it’s in love or in motherhood. Maybe it’s the gaslighting, manipulation, or feeling unseen in your relationship. Maybe it’s postpartum, burnout, or the weight of always showing up as “the strong one”. Either way, you don’t have to explain every detail to be understood. We offer culturally affirming therapy for Black women ready to heal, grow, and feel like themselves again—with peace, clarity, and confidence.

Developing self-awareness — what’s important to you, your unique strengths and resources, and the ways in which you may hold yourself back — is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. When faced with life’s inevitable challenges, self-awareness is like a compass, helping you find your true north and live your best, most authentic life. My role is to create a safe space in which we identify your unique strengths, explore how you limit yourself, and help you to thrive. I ask curious, thoughtful questions to help you make sense of your challenges and find a way forward that is consistent with your values and your true self.

You've noticed something feels different lately. A part of you may be starting to question patterns like saying yes when you want to say no, putting others first, or feeling responsible for keeping the peace. You might feel anxious, overwhelmed and unsure how to make sense of it all. I work with adults who feel pulled in different directions internally and want to better understand themselves. Together, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface - both inward (your emotional patterns and inner world) and outward (relationships, family, and cultural context).

Collectively, we have just experienced some of the most challenging times of our lives, and continuing. My framework is holistic in nature and offered virtually at this time. My focus has shifted to include techniques such as Emotional Freedom Tapping, body awareness modalities, breathing techniques, talk therapy, visualization, and other creative coping tools that can be self applied outside of session safely. These tools can be used to help manage de-regulation, nervous system overload, to gain clarity, and to act as a more gentle introductory towards the path of healing especially for those that have never sought therapy before.

Life today can feel overwhelming, especially when stress and uncertainty seem to follow you everywhere. I hear you. It can feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world alone.

Supporting adults and youth carrying overwhelm, guilt, or emotional exhaustion. You don’t have to explain your cultural background to be understood. Therapy with me starts with your story, not just your symptoms. I provide virtual, culturally grounded therapy across Ontario, creating a space where you’re fully seen, your experiences are honored, and growth happens on your terms — no judgment, no rush, no shrinking yourself.

Hello and welcome. If you're struggling with depression, anxiety or trauma, I can help. You may be looking for someone you can speak to that is supportive, trustworthy and nonjudgemental. Trauma and its residual effects can be scary when left alone to deal with it. I can help.

You’re anxious, you're afraid. Maybe it's chronic pain, or the habits you just can't seem to kick. There seems to be only so much that doctors can do for you. Maybe you feel okay for a day or two, but then the distress and the loneliness all come flooding back in. You find yourself wondering if anyone really understands you, or even believes you. And perhaps most painful of all, you start wondering if there's any "real you" left after you've been worn down and hollowed out, by so much suffering.

My clients are thoughtful, capable people who’ve spent years showing up for others but now feel emotionally tired. They may be managing anxiety, depression, or trauma while balancing work, family, and identity pressures. Many describe feeling disconnected from themselves or unsure how to move forward. In therapy, we create space to slow down, unpack what’s weighing on you, and explore new ways to feel grounded, confident, and at peace—with yourself and the life you’re building.

Do you feel overwhelmed, easily dysregulated, or stuck in the same cycles that don’t reflect who you truly are or who you want to be? You may be neurodivergent, healing from trauma, or simply tired of traditional therapy that overlooks the body and soul. I offer a warm, affirming space to explore your identity, build self-trust, and regulate your nervous system through variations of talk therapy, mindfulness, and somatic (physical) processing. You don’t need to mask here- your full self is welcome.

Hi! My name is Sukhi and I'm the owner of Abyss Psychotherapy. Does it feel like your emotions control you? Do you have people in your life telling you "you need therapy"? Do you see a side of you in relationships that you wish didn't exist? Do you ever think "I wish I didn't wake up today"? Whether depression is making it hard to stay, anxiety is making it hard to breathe, or trauma is making it hard to move, I have space for you as you are. Whether neurodivergence is making it hard to belong, family is making it hard to feel good enough, or your upbringing has put you in a cage, lets navigate the grey together.

As we work through your difficulties—whether related to life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, or stress at work or school—I hope for transformation and healing, and for you to feel empowered to navigate life's inevitable storms.
