These include anxiety, insomnia, depression, or managing challenging medical conditions such as cancer - and many others.
I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in my work. CBT is a time-limited, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on learning new patterns of thinking and behaving. Of all therapy approaches, CBT has the most evidence showing that it works for specific problems. As needed, I also employ other modern therapeutic approaches.

You hold it together on the outside — but inside, it’s chaos. Anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, a negative inner voice, and guilt are running the show. You beat yourself up, replay conversations, and wonder why you can’t just feel better. You’re tired of pretending you’re fine and carrying the mental load alone. You want to feel calm, grounded, and more in control of your life. In therapy, we’ll get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck and give you real tools to calm your mind, manage emotions, feel like yourself, and feel in control again — not just surviving, but finally living a life with clarity and confidence.

Supporting South Asian Individuals & Couples Through Depression, Anxiety, Trauma & Life Transitions. My passion for mental health grew from seeing how limited and stigmatized emotional support can be in many communities, including my own South Asian background. This inspired me to create a space where therapy feels safe, relatable, and empowering. Sessions are available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, allowing you to receive support in the language you feel most comfortable expressing yourself.

I’ve been there—and I know what it’s like to put yourself last and feel like things won’t ever get better. But they can—and they do.
Work with someone who’s been there, done that, and can help show you there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Think of me as your GPS. You’re driving, but I’ll help you figure out where you actually want to go, how to get there, and who’s worth bringing along. Whether you’re setting boundaries, dealing with toxic dynamics, riding solo for a while, or stuck in anxiety and people-pleasing—we’ll sort out what you want, without the guilt tied to family, culture, or what others expect from you.

How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
