Hi. I'm Jade (she/they). I recognize how challenging it can be to find safe and affirming spaces that take these identities into account, especially when working towards personal growth, self-exploration, and healing. I root my work in intersectionality and feminism, preferring an integrative process using different aspects of multiple theories and approaches. I’m incredibly passionate about the ways in which our held identities inform how we navigate relationships, health & well-being, trauma, and the world as a whole.

Trauma is a part of life that impacts us heavily. There are some events in life that take place unexpectedly, and, it can be difficult to cope, heal, and move forward. Through experience, it is my understanding that we all move at our own pace and need a setting that is safe and non-judgemental to tell our story.

As human beings, we all need a safe space where we can be heard, understood, and supported. Life often speaks to us through emotions, experiences, or inner blocks that carry messages about our path. I walk beside you as you explore and give voice to what you feel, helping you uncover meaning, access your inner wisdom, and rebuild yourself with clarity, compassion, and purpose, so you can take charge of your life and create the well-being, balance, and fulfillment you truly desire.

My clients are thoughtful, capable people who’ve spent years showing up for others but now feel emotionally tired. They may be managing anxiety, depression, or trauma while balancing work, family, and identity pressures. Many describe feeling disconnected from themselves or unsure how to move forward. In therapy, we create space to slow down, unpack what’s weighing on you, and explore new ways to feel grounded, confident, and at peace—with yourself and the life you’re building.

I am a Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist (RP) . Gestalt is the German word for "whole." I work with each of my clients as a whole-being (mind, body and soul) using a self-directed, in-the-moment approach to psychotherapy (in many cases fewer sessions are necessary). I help my clients through guided dialogue, observation and intuition in order for them become aware of their behaviors that are keeping them stuck in negative patterns. The best client / therapist sessions happen when my clients are willing to do their personal work. It is life changing!

You want change at the root, not just more coping. I primarily use Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), a brainstem-based, evidence-informed approach that attends to the earliest layers of the threat response. We move gently—without forced retelling—so deep tension can ease, breath and sleep can improve, and a sense of safety in the body can grow. From there, life is experienced from a calmer, more connected place with more choice and less reactivity. As helpful, I integrate Art Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Intelligence (IR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to support your goals.

Open Relationships Non-Monogamy Counsellors

Why might an individual want to see a therapist specialising in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?

A client seeking help with an open or consensually non-monogamous relationship will prefer to talk with a professional whom they can count on to be nonjudgmental. Talking with a supportive therapist may on its own help relieve some of the stigma and challenges partners face. That said, the most important factor in the success of any type of therapy is the ability of the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond. For this reason, an individual or couple could find success with a therapist who does not specialise in non-monogamous relationships but with whom they can build trust.

When should open or consensually non-monogamous partners seek counselling?

Like other couples, polyamorous partners typically seek counseling when they face relationship challenges they can’t solve themselves. In non-monogamous relationships, this could include breaches of trust, including infidelity; unclear rules or violations of boundaries; jealousy of outside partners; the stress of juggling the needs of multiple partners; or the effect of high partner turnover on children. Like those of other couples, polyamorous bonds can be threatened by increasingly frequent arguments, poor or dysfunctional communication, diminished emotional or physical intimacy, or the feeling that something is wrong, even if they don’t know what it is.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?

No, but individuals seeking help with non-monogamous relationships would most likely consult a licensed professional with specific training in couples counseling or couples therapy. Couples counselling and couples therapy both involve teaching concrete strategies to navigate conflict in relationships. A good therapist can engage both partners as they explain these approaches but can also work with a single partner.

How long does therapy for consensually non-monogamous couples typically last?

Couples therapy for any type of couple, tends to be relatively time-limited, lasting around 12 weeks on average. A good therapist will tailor sessions to the individual partners’ emotions and sometimes their past, along with patterns found to be repeating in the relationship. In many cases, clients should expect their therapist to assign “homework” between weekly sessions.
