I am also passionate about helping people understand how anxiety operates, including the experience of having "anxiety about the anxiety." Postpartum mental health is another area of focus in my practice, and I strive to provide a supportive space where clients can openly discuss the challenges that often accompany this stage of life.

You’ve been through experiences that still affect how safe, connected, or confident you feel, especially in your body and relationships. Maybe you notice tension that never seems to go away, your heart racing for no reason, or a sense of numbness or disconnection. Trauma often shows up in the body long after the event has passed, influencing how we think, feel, and relate to others. You might be longing to feel calm again, to trust your body, enjoy closeness, and move through life without the past constantly resurfacing.

For many, counselling can feel intimidating—sitting across from someone you don’t know, unsure of what to expect, and uncertain about opening up. I understand. That was me when I first met with a therapist years ago. What I discovered, though, is that counselling is really just a conversation—two people working together toward a shared goal. As a therapist, I desire to create a safe space for that conversation. A place where your thoughts and emotions are heard, your story is understood, and where together we can walk the path toward mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

As a Registered Psychotherapist and trauma-informed therapist, I bring over twenty years of experience in mental health, specialising in anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, attachment, couples, men's issues, and first responders.
I believe in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. Here you are encouraged to express yourself freely, without fear of judgement, and feeling heard is fundamental to our well-being. But being heard is where the work begins, not where it ends. From that foundation we go deeper, to the emotions, beliefs and patterns at the root of what brought you here.

I help adults recover from narcissistic abuse, coercive control, and emotional abuse, whether it came from a partner, a parent, or someone else close to you.
If you've left, or are still in, a relationship with someone who twisted your reality, you might be questioning whether it was really that bad, replaying conversations to figure out what you did wrong, or feeling anxious, foggy, and unsure you can trust your own judgment anymore. Maybe the control was quiet: guilt, the silent treatment, walking on eggshells, so from the outside no one can see it. You're not too sensitive and you're not crazy. What happened to you has a name, and the confusion, self-doubt, and exhaustion you're carrying make complete sense.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Counsellors
What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.
How do therapists treat NPD?
By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.
Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?
Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.
How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?
It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
