I often blend behavioral therapies with interpersonal, relational, and somatic approaches.
Sometimes we can feel disconnected to both others and even ourselves.. Our true self. It's not always easy to recognize this and it's definitely not easy to reach out for support, but here you are! I’m passionate about helping others build meaningful, healthy connections. To feel more connected to yourself, your loved ones, your purpose and your values. When we can move towards more clarity and insight to what that is, we can create a life that feels authentic. When we learn what that is, even when we are faced with the inevitable ups and downs of life, we can feel more inner trust to handle it. Does that sound like your goal?

As a Christian-based therapist, believe that resilience lies within each of us. We often forget this powerful strength we have inside of us because of the challenges life confronts us with. My goal is to empower you to rediscover your inner light and collaboratively work to improve your overall well-being and quality of life. I strive to create a safe, trusting, inclusive, and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable sharing your lived experiences with me.

Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and want support in understanding what they are experiencing. I take a mind body approach, recognizing that emotional stress often shows up physically in the body. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences are connected while developing practical tools to manage challenges more effectively. My goal is to help clients build greater self awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and create a stronger sense of balance and well being in their lives.

Through somatic practices, emotional attunement, and sound, we gently support your nervous system to soften—allowing for deeper healing and integration.
It’s undeniable—the world is changing. Life can feel increasingly stressful, overwhelming, and loud. Amid constant distractions, it’s easy to lose connection with yourself and your inner voice. This disconnection often shows up in subtle ways—saying yes when you mean no, staying in draining situations, ignoring your gut, or overthinking decisions and seeking reassurance that you’re making the “right” choice. These challenges don’t just live in your thoughts and emotions, they also show up in the body. The tightness in your chest or the knot in your stomach may seem to come out of nowhere, but it’s simply your body’s voice.

I find that therapeutic shifts benefit from somatic work, so I use Embodied Self-Awareness, too.
I welcome clients looking for support related to ADHD/neurodivergence (including management, identity, masking, and burnout), anxiety, grief/loss, LGBTQ+ identity, pregnancy, parenting, relationships (dating, partnership, ethical nonmonogamy, separation), and other life transitions. I delight in working collaboratively with clients in holistic and trauma-informed ways, incorporating humour and mindfulness. I endeavour to be humble, with a decolonized, intersectional and otherwise anti-oppressive stance. I value individual identity and collectivism/community and support diverse genders, harm-reduction and various recovery pathways.

You may be seeking therapy because you’re carrying grief that feels hard to share — the pain of infertility, pregnancy loss, or infant loss that others may not fully understand. Perhaps trauma still feels close, your body no longer feels like a safe place, or relationships feel heavier than they once did. I work with adults navigating reproductive trauma and loss, as well as impacts of sexual abuse and attachment wounds. Many clients struggle with shame, overwhelm, difficulty trusting, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Together we work toward relief, clarity, and rebuilding a sense of safety within yourself and relationships.

Going beyond traditional talk therapy, I use somatic psychotherapy and transpersonal therapy in healing trauma, including developmental trauma.
Before healing from traumatic experiences, you might feel like you're often in a fight-or-flight state (anxious, irritable, angry, can't sleep) or feel shut down (numb, no energy, dissociated, or depressed). I use Somatic Experiencing and other somatic approaches for trauma-focused work, and to treat anxiety and cumulative stress.

By weaving together nearly two decades of dedicated somatic practice—including teaching yoga and meditation since 2009—with clinical training in depth-oriented counseling, I have integrated somatic wisdom with depth-oriented inquiry.
We work to address limiting beliefs and help you feel more resilient and anchored within your nervous system, giving you a greater capacity for the discomfort of growth. I provide a grounded, consistent container to help you reconnect with your own internal compass.

Have you ever had moments where emotions hit so fast and hard that a small trigger makes you lose control, hurting those you love, only to feel deep regret later? Perhaps you've even used self-harm to forcefully "cool down" intense feelings. Or maybe you find yourself increasingly numb, endlessly scrolling or gaming to escape the emptiness, struggling to genuinely connect with others. If so, you might feel confused or broken. But please know: you are not the problem. These reactions are often just your mind's survival strategies to cope with past trauma, chronic stress, or unresolved family wounds. When pain goes unseen, it erupts.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
