My approach is empathetic & collaborative as we partner together.
Do you struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself and others? Does your hopes and dreams seem so far from being able to be achieved? Perhaps just getting through the day has been a challenge for you lately. More than ever, people feel anxious, overwhelmed and uncertain about their tomorrow. As we go through life, we experience breakups, hardships, sickness, failure, and loneliness. My journey started with being born and raised in Australia where everything is said to be, “She’ll be right mate!”. We all know this is not the case.

Taking care of our mental health is more important than ever. Therapy allows you to comfortably share the thoughts, feelings, behaviours and relationship issues that are most troubling in your life. Therapy is a collaborative process, where clients are the experts in their own lives. Together, we will develop an understanding of who you are and the core aspects of what has brought you to therapy. We then will work on building on the strengths you already have and learn further strategies to put you forward in the life you want to lead.

Sometimes we can feel disconnected to both others and even ourselves.. Our true self. It's not always easy to recognize this and it's definitely not easy to reach out for support, but here you are! I’m passionate about helping others build meaningful, healthy connections. To feel more connected to yourself, your loved ones, your purpose and your values. When we can move towards more clarity and insight to what that is, we can create a life that feels authentic. When we learn what that is, even when we are faced with the inevitable ups and downs of life, we can feel more inner trust to handle it. Does that sound like your goal?

Do you feel like your life is stuck on autopilot, but you can’t figure out why or what to do to change things? This often stems from a disconnection from ourselves, which, in turn, hinders our ability to connect to others and the world around us. As an adult, you may be overworking and engaging in negative self-talk, while children and teenagers may experience a more general sense of confusion, sadness, and frustration with the world. I believe we all have the answers to living our most joyous and embodied lives—we just need to create the right conditions for our truth to shine.

Whether we’re exploring your story individually or working through the complexities of couple dynamics, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself.
Sometimes life feels like you’re carrying a backpack full of bricks that no one else can see. You’ve tried to “just push through,” but the weight keeps showing up—in your relationships, your energy, and the way you see yourself.
Many of the people I work with come to me after years of masking, second-guessing, or feeling like they’re alway on the outside looking in. Some are adults discovering ADHD later in life and suddenly making sense of why things have always felt harder than they “should.” Others are navigating relationships, blended families, or the quiet loneliness that comes from not feeling fully understood.

How does marriage counseling work?
Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.
How long does marriage counseling typically last?
Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.
Is marriage counseling effective?
Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.
Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?
Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
