Do you feel more like roommates than partners, stuck in the same argument on repeat? Maybe the connection that once felt easy now feels distant or strained. When couples fall into these patterns, conversations can quickly turn defensive or shut down, leaving both partners feeling unheard and disconnected. When I work with clients, I help slow these cycles and create something different. I support you in having conversations that feel safer, clearer, and more productive. Imagine feeling heard without escalation—having grounded, honest conversations where you feel understood and back on the same team, rebuilding trust, and calm.

Sometimes life feels like you’re carrying a backpack full of bricks that no one else can see. You’ve tried to “just push through,” but the weight keeps showing up—in your relationships, your energy, and the way you see yourself. Many of the people I work with come to me after years of masking, second-guessing, or feeling like they’re alway on the outside looking in. Some are adults discovering ADHD later in life and suddenly making sense of why things have always felt harder than they “should.” Others are navigating relationships, blended families, or the quiet loneliness that comes from not feeling fully understood.

Starting therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. You might be noticing stress, low mood, anxiety, or simply a sense that something feels off. Sometimes it’s tied to a life transition, relationship challenges, trauma or concerns around your self-concept. Whatever brings you here, it’s worth paying attention to, and you deserve support. I offer a confidential, inclusive space where you can speak openly and be met with empathy and curiosity. Our work is guided by your goals, whether that’s trauma processing, emotional regulation, symptom management or lifestyle shifts.

Have you been stuck in a cycle with your partner for years and have tried everything you know how to fix it? You’ve considered therapy, but you think you need support right away and fast. I offer couples therapy intensives, during which I work with a couple for 4 to 6 hours. Many couples find this process effective, as it covers a lot of ground in a short period of time. To start the process, we will meet for a 90-minute initial assessment session, during which I will gather your relationship history, explore the events that have led to your current cycle, and develop a plan of action for the intensive.

When you’re looking for a therapist, finding the right fit is hugely important. My greatest strength is providing affirming care to those with ADHD and possible additional neurodivergence, such as autism (AuDHD), twice-exceptionality (2E), or complex trauma (CPTSD). Whether it was identified in childhood, you were diagnosed later, or you’re self-diagnosed, you deserve a therapist who understands and uses an approach that is compassionate, validating, collaborative, experiential, flexible, and non-pathologizing, and that supports clear communication, sensory needs, and embodied awareness. These elements can make a real difference.

Divorce Counsellors
How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?
Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.

What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?
There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.

When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?
When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.

How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
