I draw from trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches, integrating Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic practices, and mindfulness to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and deeper self-understanding.
I work with people who feel weighed down by trauma, anxiety, and the long-term impact of carrying too much for too long. Many of my clients are first responders, frontline workers, or those navigating high-pressure lives, people who are used to holding it all together, but are finding it harder to manage alone.
Our work begins by slowing down and making sense of what you’ve been carrying, the stress, the emotions, the survival strategies that may have once helped but now feel heavy or limiting. Together, we’ll look at what’s shaped you, what feels stuck, and what needs space to heal.

My integrative approach for individuals pulls from various interventions like cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused, somatic, attachment theory and positive psychology models.
Every person goes through multiple transitions in their life at different ages, specifically in adolescence and throughout adulthood. Change can sometimes, bring you unexpected stress, anxiety, feelings of overwhelm or helplessness. When your usual coping tools are no longer working, or you are experiencing an increase in negative thinking, emotional reactivity and maladaptive behaviours, then finding a psychotherapist to work with and help you to identify new goals, explore alternative coping skills and co-create a therapeutic plan to help navigate life stressors can be helpful.

I am a certified Somatic Therapy Foundations Practitioner and have a certificate in Somatic Attachment Therapy.
Are you are a woman who's strong, capable, and appears to have it all “together” — but internally you feel overextended, or unseen in your relationships.
Many women I work with are highly capable, and independent. But the qualities that help them be successful at work are killing their relationships. At home you might have the impulse to continue making all the decisions on your own, you're afraid to let go of control and unable to rest.
This is not a character flaw. It is a nervous system shaped by attachment experiences and a mind shaped by beliefs and misconceptions about the opposite sex.

The neurocomplexity of ADHD and autism can make everyday interactions, let alone therapy, draining and frustrating. Working to decode others' expectations whilst striving to be accurately seen and known can be so isolating. My own lived experience of AuDHD+ allows me to offer therapy deeply rooted in understanding and guided by an anti-oppression lens that acknowledges systemic impacts on personal well-being.

I integrate EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), and attachment-focused therapy to help regulate your nervous system, process trauma, and rebuild a sense of safety and connection.
Many people begin trauma therapy when past experiences continue to shape how safe they feel in their body, relationships, and daily life. You may be carrying the impact of childhood trauma, attachment wounds, or chronic stress that leaves you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected.
These experiences can affect self-worth, grief, and relationship patterns in ways that are hard to shift alone. What many people want most is to feel grounded, understood, and able to move through life with greater calm, stability, and self-trust.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
