My career as a therapist started as a career in theatre and film due to my love of narrative and storytelling. Over time, I became more interested in how the stories we believe about ourselves shape how we live our lives. I use scientifically supported treatments like CBT to explore these stories and see how helpful or not they are. Of course, we often already know that something isn't working, but it can be hard to believe anything different. To that end, our sessions usually include seeking out new experiences to develop new perspectives. My clients tell me they're surprised by how much more they can do than they first thought.

I work with first responders, veterans, students, parents, and people who are simply going through a hard season of life. You may be dealing with trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, work or school pressure, a major life transition, or just feeling unlike yourself. Many of my clients are capable, caring, and used to pushing through. From the outside, things may look fine, but inside you may feel overwhelmed, reactive, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you cannot seem to shift. Therapy can be a place to understand what is happening and begin making changes that actually feel meaningful.

You've had a thought you can't say out loud. That you might harm someone you love. That you're not who you thought you were. That something was contaminated, and now everything you've touched since is too. You've probably checked, confessed, researched it at 2am, or asked someone to tell you it's fine and felt better for about an hour before the doubt came back.
That's obsessiveness. The content of the thought isn't the problem, and it isn't information about you. The problem is the loop, and the loop is treatable.

You check the stove before you leave — even though you know it's off. You avoid certain foods because the thought of getting sick feels unbearable. You replay conversations, second-guess your own thoughts, and wonder if something is fundamentally wrong with you. It isn't. OCD and emetophobia are not character flaws — they are treatable conditions. I work with people who are exhausted by the constant cycle of obsessing, avoiding, and seeking reassurance. Whether you live with harm OCD, ROCD, POCD, contamination fears, sexual obsessions, or an intense fear of vomiting, I can help you find real relief.
