Are you feeling disconnected or experiencing overwhelming sadness or anger? Please know that you're not alone. Many people respond to intense stress with withdrawal, numbness, or sudden outbursts. Learning to navigate these responses can prevent them from taking control of your life.
Talking to a professional can be a helpful step. If you're ready to make a change, I offer a safe and supportive space to listen and explore your experiences. Choosing to prioritize your well-being takes courage, and I commend you for reaching out.

I am a registered social worker with over 20 years of experience. I have helped people who experience issues such as: depression, anxiety, addiction, abuse, trauma, anger, LGBTQ-related issues, relationship issues, grief, and family conflict. My journey into social work began at age 14, when I lost my father to cancer. Because there were few supports available at the time, I felt alone and stuck. This prompted me to dedicate my life to assisting others during difficult times, and help them realize they are not alone.

How are you feeling? What are you thinking? What actions are you taking? Why are these things happening? Those are some of the classic questions asked by a therapist, but you’ve already been asking these questions. The answers are different for each person, and for different points in time. You might respond with, "I’m anxious, or sad, or angry", "I’m troubled about the past, or I'm worried about the future", "I’m drinking too much, or I’m distancing my family". Sometimes the answer is, "I don’t know, but I want to figure it out".

Being in a smaller community it's important that I run from a general practice standpoint. This means I will work with you to the best of my abilities. I will work with you on your current issues and help you with additional resources. If your looking to get started or have experienced previous counselling from others, I invite you to work with me to see what benefit counselling can be to you.

Over the last 25 years, I have worked with individuals and families, of all ages, in a variety of different settings. The people I work with have often felt uncomfortable or uncertain about seeking help. They tend to have a sense of how they would like life to be different, but are unsure of how to move forward and start the process of change.
