How are you feeling? What are you thinking? What actions are you taking? Why are these things happening? Those are some of the classic questions asked by a therapist, but you’ve already been asking these questions. The answers are different for each person, and for different points in time. You might respond with, "I’m anxious, or sad, or angry", "I’m troubled about the past, or I'm worried about the future", "I’m drinking too much, or I’m distancing my family". Sometimes the answer is, "I don’t know, but I want to figure it out".
