I offer therapy sessions in-person and online.
In today’s world, many individuals find themselves struggling with anxiety and depression. It could be triggered by life transitions, past traumas, or the complexities of modern living. No matter the cause, these challenges do cast a dark shadow over every aspect of life. Anxiety might show up as constant worry, restlessness, or panic attacks while depression can engulf one in feelings of sadness, hopelessness or disconnect from everyone else. Left unaddressed, these conditions can erode self-esteem, relationships and hinder personal and professional fulfillment.

Sometimes clients believe that therapy won’t work for them because of past experiences or what they have seen in media. I like to get creative to think about ways to make the therapy environment work for each unique person. If something doesn’t work at first, then that means we haven’t found the right thing for you… yet. Clients and their families often come to me confused or hopeless. They describe feeling like they have so many problems that it will be difficult and time consuming to see improvements.

Therapy is offered in-person or online - whatever is most comfortable for you.
My ideal client is someone carrying more than they let on — navigating trauma, overwhelm, or major life shifts while longing for clarity, relief, and connection. They want to feel grounded again, understand their patterns, heal old wounds, and build healthier relationships. Most of all, they want a space where they’re met with warmth, honesty, and a bit of humour as they move toward a life that finally feels like their own.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
