You’re the kind of person who gets things done. You check the boxes. You’ve worked hard, achieved a lot, and probably look like you have it all together. But deep down? You feel like a mess. You're chasing the next goal, the next version of “better,” the next way to prove you're worth something. And no matter how much you do, it never feels like enough. You’re exhausted from pretending. From performing. From wondering if anyone truly sees the real you—or if you even know who that is anymore. You might have people around you, but you still feel disconnected. Conversations feel surface-level.

I support young adults in their 20s and 30s who are often highly sensitive people, navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, or people-pleasing.
You are constantly walking on eggshells. Always on high alert, your highly sensitive brain is always scanning other people's expressions to make sure everything is okay. You over-apologize, over-explain, over-share or disconnect and push your emotions deep down. You feel different - too emotional, too “much”. A sense of loneliness and longing for something you can’t describe looms in the background of everything you do. No matter what you try the feeling that there’s “something wrong with you” just won’t let up. You try to feel better - you have journaled, meditated, tried therapy, medication, breathwork…but nothing helps for long

Do you want to learn to work with your brain, not against it? Have you struggled with not always feeling like you belong? You may have experienced marginalization or a lack of acceptance from people in your life. Are you trying to be easier on yourself despite a world that never taught you how? Would you like to feel more in control of your emotions? This may look like learning how to manage really deep, big feelings. Or this might mean learning how to stay connected to yourself/your feelings when things are overwhelming. I'd love to support you if you want to show up more authentically and build a life worth living.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
