I integrate my diverse training and therapeutic approaches into a personalized experience for each client, often drawing from EMDR, ego states, DBT, CBT, and play-based techniques—whether working with children or the kids at heart.
Do you or your child feel stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed? Are you just holding things together, feeling exhausted as life seems to fall apart around you? Do you wonder how you or your child will make it through the week—or even the day? Now more than ever, people are struggling with constant stress and overwhelm, feeling pressure to push through while feeling worn down and stuck in a cycle they can’t escape. I believe it shouldn’t be this hard to live the calmer, happier, and more connected life you want.

You may look like you're holding it all together, yet feel stuck in the same painful patterns—whether that's trauma, addiction, relationship struggles, anxiety, or overwhelming shame. Lasting change doesn't come from trying harder; it comes from understanding why these patterns developed in the first place.

You love your children deeply, but the day-to-day demands of parenting leave you feeling stretched thin, exhausted, and quietly questioning whether you’re doing enough. You’re juggling work, home, and constant decision-making, often feeling like there’s never enough time, energy, or space to catch your breath. What you want isn’t perfection — it’s to feel calmer, more confident, and more connected. You want to lead your family with clarity and steadiness, respond rather than react, and trust yourself as the parent your children need.

Through an integrative approach, we will use aspects of various therapeutic techniques including CBT, DBT, solution-focused, ACT and a compassion focused lens.
I work with individuals who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them and are ready for change, even if taking that first step feels scary. Many of my clients struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, low self-esteem, perfectionism, or self-criticism. Together, we explore the underlying factors that keep these patterns in place, build self-compassion, and develop practical tools for lasting change. My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where healing, growth, and a stronger sense of self can emerge.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Counsellors
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behaviour and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behaviour, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioural change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behaviour; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
