Between parenting, work, relationships, and the never-ending to-do list, it's easy to lose yourself.
In our work together, we gently untangle the thoughts and pressures that keep you stuck and help you move toward what truly matters to you- in a way that feels aligned with your values, not others' expectations. You'll find a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can exhale as we explore identity shifts, guilt, and burnout with curiosity and compassion.

I have been through many of my own challenges, parenting, divorce, co- parenting, blended family and family members with addiction.
Women! Are you burnt out, overwhelmed, angry and frustrated a lot of the time? Are you experience significant change (life transitions, divorce, menopause). You have come to the right place! If you have never tried counselling, it can be a scary idea... trying something new always is! I work with many women who have given all of themselves to taking care of others and are exhausted. In counselling, we can learn new tools to take care of ourselves, especially when experiencing life changes and challenges. Reach out today... I understand!

I believe maternal support can influence a strong infant- parent attachment which is crucial to an individual’s relationships throughout life.
Life is unpredictable. We can get thrown curve balls at any stage of life. I see myself as someone who can help navigate stress, life transitions and coping with loss. Even in the darkest of times, I truly believe that people are resilient. I want to meet my clients where they are at, to help them be kinder to themselves and to support them as they make courageous steps towards change and personal growth. As a certified addiction counselor and trained in trauma sensitive EMDR, I believe in a holistic approach where a balanced mind-body connection is important to our over all well-being.

I work with adults, children/youth and their parents experiencing anxiety, adjustment, codependency (ex., supporting a loved one with substance use issues or mental illness) and depression often as people experience change in their lives and identity.
You are not alone. Some of our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and experiences may lead us to that place where we can feel isolated and lost. The darkness is all around. I do this work primarily because I hope we can go together to that darkness. Together, we can move through this pain to the other side.

As a neurodivergent therapist with lived experience of chronic pain and as a parent to neurodivergent children, I bring genuine understanding and care to this work.
I work psychodynamically, guided by empathy, presence, and care. Together, we move beyond temporary symptom relief by uncovering how past relationships and experiences shape your current reality (thoughts, behaviour, emotions). This approach fosters insight and self-awareness in an accepting environment, opening the door to meaningful, lasting change.

Welcoming new clients! Are you a teen or adult who feels emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you are beneath the stress, expectations, and responsibilities? Perhaps you're the one who holds everything together while quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-criticism, or the feeling of being "too much" and, at the same time, "not enough." You don't have to carry those experiences alone. I support both neurodivergent and neurotypical teens and adults in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, regulating emotions, and building more authentic relationships.

Sometimes life can be difficult and these challenges can cause a sense of suffering in ourselves and those we care about. It can all feel overwhelming and exhausting, making it difficult to know what to do or where to turn for help. It takes courage to reach out for support so that you don’t have to suffer alone. Counselling can provide the opportunity to learn to share and process one’s struggles in a safe and non-judgemental space. Learning how to foster self-directed kindness and self-compassion can help nurture an individual’s personal growth and resilience.

Parenting Counsellors
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
