My approach combines Emotion Focused Therapy ( EFT) with other evidence-based approaches to most effectively move each client towards their unique goals.
You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges on your own. Whether you’re a young professional finding your footing, an expectant or new parent adjusting, or simply “in the thick of it” managing whatever ongoing demands day to day life brings your way – you may be feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or not quite yourself. New seasons can bring stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship strain, and the pressure to keep up, or to get it “right.” In our work together you’ll have space to slow down, feel heard, and be seen, without judgement. We’ll explore what is happening for you, and work to better understand the impact of your experiences.

I draw from IFS, EFT, and other evidence-informed approaches to tailor therapy to each person.
My educational background is in psychology and brain disorders management, and so I am appreciative and aware of the diverse range of factors that contribute to stress and to the challenges that individuals face on a day to day basis. I understand the importance of evaluating how each of these factors play a part in clients' presenting problems.

I work with individuals and offer supervision. Based on an assessment with you, we determine the best approach to meet your goals, and emotional needs towards personal health and growth. A few of the therapeutic approaches I use include, but not limited to, CBT which highlights thoughts, dysfunctional (unhelpful) thinking, and assumptions. We explore the unique meaning you make of situations and events. I also use Emotionally Focussed Therapy, mindfulness techniques that rely on neurosciences to restore emotional integrity, narrative therapy, and reconstruction therapy.

Many of us come to periods in our lives when we feel overwhelmed, confused or immobilized by our circumstances and our feelings. Or we reach a point in life when we know in our gut that something has to change, but we just don’t know where to begin. Doubt and negative self-talk can make us feel stuck. Sometimes we struggle with feelings of sadness, anger, shame or anxiety and can feel very alone in that struggle. Having a safe place to talk and a safe, non-judgmental person to talk to is key to healing and moving beyond the “stuck place”.

I believe that each one of us is born with incredible potential but life happens and we get stuck. Most of us would need someone to come alongside to help bring out the potential that is locked inside at some point in our life journey.
