With 17 years of experience in mental health and addiction support, I’ve worked with people in survival mode, trying to break cycles they’ve been stuck in for years, or with navigating big life changes. What I’ve learned is this: people are incredibly resilient. With the right support, it’s possible to reconnect with what matters most, find your footing, and move toward meaningful change one step at a time. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, shame, low self-worth, relationship struggles, or stuck patterns, I offer a grounded, non-judgmental space to explore your challenges and help you to create lasting growth.

As a Registered Social Worker and therapist I specialize in helping people work through trauma, depression, anxiety, and addictions. I employ an informed, yet relaxed approach to help the therapy process feel accessible. This approach helps many individuals who are new to, unsure or uncomfortable with the idea of counseling. I use a combination of therapeutic techniques, knowledge of neurobiology, physical health, and our nervous system to help people identify and challenge behaviours, reactions, and patterns they want to change or improve. This approach often connects well with first responders, military and health professionals.

I have 4 years of experience working with children, youth, and adults on improving their mental health.
My ideal clients are people who are doing their best but maybe feeling a little overwhelmed, a little stuck, or just craving something more for themselves. They come to my practice because there’s this voice inside them saying, “I want to feel better. I want to feel like me again.” What I love is that they don’t have to have it all figured out to show up. That’s the brave part, just walking through the door. It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress. At the end of the day, it’s about helping people reconnect with their strength, their joy, and their sense of possibility.

Hi, I’m Claire. I work with individuals and couples who want to feel more at home in themselves, with greater self-understanding and compassion, so they can also feel more secure and connected in their relationships. People often come to me feeling stuck in familiar patterns or ways of being, such as overthinking, people-pleasing, or relationships that don’t feel as safe or connected as they want. Together, we slow things down, get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface, and create new grounded ways of relating, both to yourself and others.

When life shifts into unfamiliar seasons, finding your footing begins by creating space to slow down and find your bearings again. I offer a calm environment where the noise of daily life quiets enough to unhurriedly explore your experiences. I work with self-aware individuals who understand their challenges "on paper" yet feel stuck and exhausted, putting in effort only to feel like they are standing in the same place. It is not your fault that your experience hasn't caught up to your insights yet. I believe that authentic ease begins when the internal struggle to "be okay" stops and you allow yourself to be supported in a process.

I work with individuals who want to feel better - whether you are suffering from the effects of trauma, childhood abuse, neglect, mental health issues, depression, anxiety, or you're just not feeling like yourself anymore. Sometimes a new challenge can trigger old wounds and suddenly life seems overwhelming. Together, we can explore where things may have gone off course to equip you with the insight, skills, and motivation to move forward. My approach is eclectic, using body-based interventions that are safe and proven effective. My belief is that every person has the capacity to heal; No one is broken, and everything is possible.

I invite you to be curious. To explore. To discover. To remember. To be courageous. To find strength in vulnerability. To use that vulnerability to foster intimacy and connection with those who you love and have yet to love. Mostly, I invite you to allow. To allow yourself to heal. To connect with you. To love you. And to become who you were always meant to be (and have always been). I invite you to experience the profound healing that occurs when we enter the depths, approaching our darkness so that we may discover our light. I invite you to expand in consciousness. To shed the false narratives and stories that you once needed.

New July 2026: Are you a 25-45 year old, type A overachieving woman with late-diagnosed (or suspected) ADHD who has a hard time regulating big emotions, saying no, or speaking your truth? To others, it looks like you've got it all together, but inside your mind won't stop racing, your body is it fight-or-flight, and you feel so burned out you crash, zoning out by scrolling endless reels, ordering takeout (again), or having just one more glass of wine. You've tried to feel better - journaling, meditation, mental health walks, therapy reels, drinking water, self help books, maybe even therapy - but nothing seems to work for long

My intention is to bring a sense of humanity and comfort to therapy, creating an environment founded on non-judgement, empathy, openness, compassion, and humour. I believe that therapeutic progress is best achieved collaboratively, working together to determine realistic goals that incorporate your own worldview and beliefs. I favour an integrative approach to psychotherapy, pulling elements from cognitive behavioural, narrative, and psychodynamic approaches. My approach is always client-directed, as my belief in the collaborative nature of therapy is deeply rooted in my stance towards care.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
