Throughout my life I have always found purpose in coming alongside people in their journeys; engaging with them, identifying their struggle and providing a toolbox for them to achieve their desired goal of wholeness. This goal has led me to pursue specific education; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Crisis Counselling, Bereavement education through University of Toronto, and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My educational pathway has only ignited my passion to help people process their lived experiences and challenges even more.
Have you ever felt utterly alone, anxious, and disconnected? I too felt unsure, overwhelmed, and had trouble coping with life’s curve balls. My journey involved learning to lean into discomfort, to be open and vulnerable, and that one wrong turn does not mean the end. By opening up my authentic self to others and to myself, I learned that I am enough. I believe success in therapy is achieved by using an individualized approach that celebrates the qualities that bring us together as well as those that make us unique. We all face our own battles, but we do not have to go it alone.
I help with marriage, pre-marriage, family, and relationship professional counselling. I also help with careers, interpersonal problems, career changes, feeling stuck, and failing to launch by providing professional counselling and life coaching. I help reduce the stigma of therapy by providing online sessions.
I have over 30 years experience in counselling. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, marital/relational issues, or struggling with parenting issues, I can help. I have been married for over 30 years and have raised six children to adulthood. My life experience as well as my training means I have many life skills and tools that I would love to share with you.
I went into private practice because of my commitment to change. Whether its battling the injustice we live in or the inner battles we experience that are shaped by our own unique stories, we all might pass a time in our lives where we long to see change happen. With my role as a therapist, I am committed to helping you reach the desired change your are seeking. I will work in partnership with you to help you discover your potential for change and help you achieve your goals and move toward living a fulfilling, purposeful and meaningful life.
I work with children and their families as a Social Worker providing therapeutic services. I have had the opportunity to support children and their families through times of stress, challenge, transition, and trauma. I greatly respect and value the internal capacity to adapt and heal. I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space, to amplify an individual's strengths, in order to facilitate growth. I have been honoured to be able to share my knowledge in order to provide children and their families with adaptive coping tools and resources, while always remembering to acknowledge moments of connection, success, and play.
Feeling stress, deflated, low or struggling with your inner critic? Seeking help is not easy. Tracy’s experience working with offenders and victims of crime and/or tragic circumstance provides her with an empathetic, supportive and nonjudgmental approach regardless of your situation or struggle. Whether it be, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relational, grief, or historical abuse. Despite one’s past, everyone can become their own best friend.
As a psychologist registered in clinical and school psychology, my training allows me to assess and treat a wide variety of mental health concerns. My experience in school psychology provides me with a unique perspective of the challenges that parents, and their children experience not only at home but in meeting their social, emotional, and cognitive needs within the greater context of their community. I take pride in tailoring treatment to individual needs by integrating learning and cognitive profiles into the application of developmentally appropriate interventions.
I have a passion for working with people and truly believe we all have the capacity to thrive and have life experiences full of purpose, joy and meaning. My intention is to offer a space that is safe, and non-judgemental in supporting you with the tools to handle life’s hardships with grace. Allow me to support you in exploring what is holding you back and in challenging the self-limiting beliefs we all hold.
Most people have had experience with trauma and addiction - sometimes both. I have extensive experience in multiple areas including substance abuse and addiction, relapse prevention, sex, love and relationship addiction, grief, loss, mental health and trauma (informed). With my years of experience I will help you attain skills and coping mechanisms to focus on your future. This means that I am able to support and guide you through your journey. Counselling takes time and energy – for you as well as your family. It is important to treat both the client and their family and I am willing to explore that with you.
Hello and welcome! Making the decision to reach out for help can be challenging and often taking the first step can be the hardest part. Perhaps you find yourself worrying a lot or feeling anxious, especially during this unprecedented time. Maybe you have gone through a significant life change and you do not feel comfortable with your current situation. Or, perhaps you have realized that you are surviving life and you are not really present and thriving. If you are ready to make meaningful changes in your life, I would be honored to walk alongside you through this journey. I believe together we can create success.
“With a heart like that, you deserve the world.” (R.M. Drake) - Don’t we all deserve to be the very best version of ourselves, the Best You that there can be. Together, we can examine common negative thinking patterns; in addition, we can work on developing better coping strategies aimed at enhancing personal positive reasoning skills and attitude.
My apologies, I am currently not accepting clients - I offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to help you through overwhelming life stressors, mental health disorders and/or emotional difficulties. We can address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self esteem, stress, interpersonal relationships, assertiveness, and anger. Whatever your distress, I show up and be present where you are at.
Welcome! I tailor my approach to the client's needs and personality. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients, where my role is to help clients explore their circumstances to find the answers that are right for them.
Everyone needs support from time to time. Unresolved conflicts or past traumas, can leave us feeling misunderstood and frustrated. We can only change unhelpful patterns, when we see them clearly. If you might be ready to ‘Dig a Little Deeper’, you've come to the right place. Whether you are working on mental health resiliency, or seeking a specific treatment, I offer a compassionate ear, safe space to unpack your story, to understand your values and evidenced-based strategies to support your journey. When we Dig Deeper, we make sense of the Why. It's not just about managing triggers - it's about having fewer triggers.
I see people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, addictions, adjustment to change in their lives, relationship or family conflict, or the residual pain left from difficult childhoods or painful life events. My way of working as a therapist is to get to know you: your hopes, your talents, your problems and your unique way of thinking and expressing yourself. We then proceed with treatment based on who you are and what you need. The aim is to allow coping with your weaknesses to help you uncover your strengths, and your way forward.
