If you’re exhausted by constant pressure, perfectionism, or old wounds that still show up in new ways, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to carry it alone. I will work with you to address some of the complex stressors and emotions that can take a toll on daily life. My approach is warm, inviting and collaborative. I create a space where you can slow down, speak freely, and begin to untangle what’s weighing on you. Together, we’ll work toward understanding the patterns that no longer serve you and develop tools to help you feel your best.

Adults finding ADHD symptoms are impairing their personal relationships and/or professional role may need new coping strategies. Compassion and curiosity guide my support of young adults (& teens 17 or older) with ADHD, whose impulsivity or poor organizational skills often burdens them with guilt and low self-esteem. If a mood disorder or anxiety is interfering with thriving in your workplace role, together we will develop self-soothing practices for your emotional regulation and occupational success. To nurture clients' bounce-back from trauma or help couples stuck in conflict, I draw upon my clinical training and lived experience.

I work with professionals navigating stress and the emotional impact of high-demand careers. My work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy and I am trained in EMDR to support deeper processing. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and used to holding a great deal together in their daily lives. Over time, that can start to feel like pressure, loneliness, or a sense of being stuck in patterns that don’t fully make sense.

Accepting new clients - You're in the same room every night, and you've never felt more alone. You wake up still carrying last night's argument, replaying it on the drive to work, wondering why nothing ever changes. You tell yourselves you just need to communicate better, but the real issue is the unmet needs and unresolved hurt sitting underneath every fight. I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) using the Gottman Method, working with couples and with individuals navigating anxiety and the relationship patterns that began long before their current partnership.

Are you at the point where you have realized "this just isn’t working anymore?" You’re doing everything right, but you still feel anxious, overwhelmed, and a little lost. On the outside everything might seem fine, but inside it just feels heavy. You’re tired of overthinking, carrying so much on your own, and pretending you’re okay. Maybe you’ve been through painful things you don’t often talk about, but they still affect your days. If you’ve been holding it together for everyone else while quietly struggling, please know you’re not alone. I help women like you feel truly seen, understood, and a little less overwhelmed by it all.

How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?
Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.

What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?
There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.

When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?
When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.

How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
