Ceilidh understands the weight that many men carry - the kind that’s often unspoken.
With over 12 years of experience working alongside military personnel, veterans, and first responders, she knows that many of the strongest individuals are also the most silent when it comes to their own emotional pain. Whether it’s from the battlefield, the pressures of the job, or early life experiences, Ceilidh recognises how trauma, suppressed emotions, and unresolved anger can shape how you show up in your relationships, your parenting, and your sense of self.

I provide online therapy for adults and adolescents (13+) across Ontario navigating self-discovery, relationship issues (including ENM/poly dynamics), anxiety, perfectionism, and struggles with creativity.
When life gets hard, mental well-being is often the first sacrifice made. We can become strangers, even enemies, with our inner world. Thoughts overwhelm, emotions bubble up out of nowhere, and things feel stagnant, even when we are doing all the 'right' things. You probably feel stuck right now. However, seeking therapy indicates self-curiosity: a desire to explore your inner world and discover more about who you are and what you value. I draw a lot of LGBTQ2S+ folks, but the real uniting factor among the humans I see is this curiosity about themselves and the world.

Compassion and curiosity guide my support of young adults (& teens 17 or older) with ADHD, whose impulsivity or poor organizational skills often burdens them with guilt and low self-esteem.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I use body-based Somatic practices. Young adults struggling with increasing independence, or couples establishing boundaries are areas we can address together. Supporting difficult transitions has been core to my career, whether helping incarcerated youth set a new life path or leadership teams launching organizational change.

I work with preteens and teens (12+), adults, and families across Georgetown and virtually throughout Ontario, navigating anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, identity questions, family expectations, and the quiet weight of holding it all together.
So much of this work is untangling who you are from who you've been told to be. Together we'll loosen the guilt, the overthinking, and the pressure to get everything "just right," and make room for a life that feels authentic to you, at a pace that respects where you come from and where you want to go.

Accepting new clients! You're in the same room every night, and you've never felt more alone. You wake up still carrying last night's argument, replaying it on the drive to work, wondering why nothing ever changes. You tell yourselves you just need to communicate better, but the real issue is the unmet needs and unresolved hurt sitting underneath every fight. I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) using the Gottman Method, working with couples and with individuals navigating anxiety and the relationship patterns that began long before their current partnership.

What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.
How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.
How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.
How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
