Making the decision to seek counselling is not easy! My goal is to help guide my clients through challenging periods in their life to a place of balance and mental well-being in a client centered, non judgmental manner. I believe my well rounded experiences, easy going nature and true care and compassion for people allows my clients the freedom to work with me in a confidential, trauma informed environment. Based on the individual clients goals, needs and preferences, I personalize the counselling experience in a way that is meaningful to them.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and have extensive experience working with individuals of all ages. I have a Master of Counselling degree from City University Vancouver and a Master of Education degree from SFU and I have been working in both private practice and in the education field for over thirty years.
I am trained in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy, an effective research-proven mental health intervention that incorporates animals into counselling sessions, as well as Movement Therapy, utilizing practices such as walk and talk therapy and yoga. I offer all my clients the option of incorporating animals or movement into their sessions.
