I have been practicing as a mental health therapist for five years and a psychologist for three years. I have a master’s degree in counselling psychology and a BSC in Psychology and Occupational therapy. I am certified by the Canadian Counselling and psychotherapy association as well as the College of Alberta Psychologist. I am able to do some direct billing to certain insurance companies.
I am comfortable supporting a diverse population and I have had success working with clients who deal with anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, secondary effects of trauma and assisting clients in learning how to live well while managing a mental illness. I have also worked with couples and families to help re-establish positive connections.
In my years practicing as a mental health professional one of the insights that I have gained is that clients are often able to identify their barriers for change and even the solutions.
