"I use a developmental-attachment lens to understand a person of any age in the context of their self development and the important people in their life. Whether it's a child, youth or adult, I know that we all struggle between the expectations of others and connecting into our own desire for balance within our self-- emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. Connecting back into our self is the first step in being able to express our feelings and needs more clearly and cultivating positive relationships with those we love."

"I work with children, teens, adults and couples facing life transitions, coping problems or mental health concerns. Depression and anxiety is very common, but I also work with loss, health concerns and family problems.Therapy is about change, but it is not about changing who we are. The person we are meant to be has been here all along. Sometimes we need help to reconnect. I work with my clients to explore patterns of behavior and thought that can keep us in small and narrow places, and to reconnect to our wiser, balanced and more joyful self."

"Changes in one's life can result in many possibilities that can be overwhelming for some, and exciting for others. To manage the changes that occur in our life, we create our own personal safety net as a means for protection and safety from the potential dangers that can be brought on from change. However, an over reliance on these personal safety nets may lead to feeling like being imprisoned and trapped inside one's shell. This could eventually result in feelings of depression and anxiety."

"We all long to live and express who we truly are and we know intuitively that our essential nature is loving and kind, peaceful and joyful, creative and connected. But most of us are conditioned with limiting beliefs and negative inner voices that stand in the way of living our authentic self. Habitual ways of thinking and feeling - "living on autopilot" - prevent us from feeling fully alive. Dropping into your heart, and including the wisdom of your body will help you identify the invisible strings that lead to chronic stress, anxiety, overwhelm, negativity... building true balance and resilience will follow."

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) (Trichotillomania (TTM), Hair Pulling, Skin Picking) Counsellors
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviours that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions). It affects children, kids, teens and adults. Often the person carries out the behaviors to get rid of the obsessive thoughts, but this only provides temporary relief. Not performing the obsessive rituals can cause great anxiety. A person's level of OCD can be anywhere from mild to severe, but if severe and left untreated, it can destroy a person's capacity to function at work, at school or even to lead a comfortable existence in the home.

If you're looking for help with OCD counselling in T6C or for a T6C OCD counsellor, these professionals provide OCD treatment and obsessive compulsive disorder treatment. They include OCD counsellors, OCD psychologists, OCD psychotherapists and OCD counsellors in T6C. They can help with T6C OCD counselling, OCD symptoms, OCD children, obsessive compulsive disorder, and OCPD.
