I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist. After 20 years of providing psychotherapy, I am even more certain that assisting people to a better place of well-being is an honouring process. I believe that people usually come to a therapy process because despite their efforts, their roadmap in their lives doesn't apply anymore. Therapeutic conversations can provide an opportunity to explore life experiences and create new awareness of choices and strategies to resolve the difficulties that you may be experiencing.

***ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS: PHONE/VIDEO/IN-PERSON*** I believe that there is good in every person, and hope in every situation. I have helped individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and connect. As a relational therapist, I appreciate the impact that our relationships have on our well-being. I do not see clients as having something wrong with their minds that necessarily needs to be fixed. Rather, I see my clients as unique individuals, each with their own stories and perspectives, embedded in important relationships and contexts that impact them. I see strengths and I see hope, even when it feels like there is none.

As we journey through life, unfair things happen. The associated thoughts, feelings and people can stay with us as painful memories, create a sense of burden and influence our future expectations. While we can't change the past, it is under our control to change the way we look at what happened. As challenging events and relationships unfold, we can control how we respond. We do this by becoming more aware of automatic negative reactions and replacing them with healthier thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It is possible for you to obtain a new lease on life and to embrace a future filled with things that have seemed out of reach.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) (Trichotillomania (TTM), Hair Pulling, Skin Picking) Counsellors
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviours that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions). Not performing the obsessive rituals can cause great anxiety. A person's level of OCD can be anywhere from mild to severe, but if severe and left untreated, it can destroy a person's capacity to function at work, at school or even to lead a comfortable existence in the home.
