Many of my clients seek relief from issues they find painfully disruptive as they struggle to manage or change their circumstances. They have difficulty developing healthy coping mechanisms for their situation, and it is now manifesting in faulty perspectives, assumptions or values. My approach to counselling focuses on the client by looking at coping skills for immediate relief and then heavier issues to understand the source of pain. If you are struggling to take the first step on your therapy journey I will walk you through some of the uncertainty and help ease your worries during your intake session.
From a person-centred focus, our sessions prioritize creating a safe space where clients feel understood and lead each session at their own pace. My open and direct approach asks questions and encourages sharing concerns as we navigate your world with feeling words, identify issues, and discuss therapeutic goals to target.
