About
I have experience working with youth and adults with an emphasis on and gender diverse folks and the LGBTQ2S community. I have supported clients with a range of presenting issues, including anxiety and depression, body image, eating disorders, gender/sexuality-related issues, personality disorders, intergenerational trauma, complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and substance use. My approach is grounded in a trauma-informed, intersectional anti-oppressive framework and I aim to foster resilience and empowerment using a warm, collaborative approach to support folks in meeting their goals.
Practicing from an eclectic therapeutic model, I draw on elements of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma Systems Therapy. My goal is to collaborate with you to facilitate the kind of warm and welcoming space you need to process your emotional experiences.
As a trans and queer identified person who was raised in rural Ontario, I am eager to leverage my lived experience and professional training to provide a safe and inclusive therapeutic space for individuals to explore their experiences of internalized shame and oppression.
