I believe therapy is for everyone. We all deserve a warm and empathic space to bring our innermost thoughts, fears, and needs. As a fat, queer, trans, and neurodivergent person, I have always found it difficult to fit myself into the world around me. For this reason, as a therapist, I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all therapeutic modality. I specialize in working with people who live outside of the margins and my goal is to provide you with a compassionate and collaborative space to make therapy work for you.
I tailor my interventions to each individual by collaborating with you to identify your strengths, goals, and needs. My approach is grounded in a trauma-informed, intersectional and anti-oppressive framework. While I’m trained in many more modalities, I am particularly drawn to Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment-Focused Therapy.
In a world that pushes us to be productive and independent individuals, slowing down to sit with your emotions and lean on other people can feel difficult. I do not position myself as an expert with all of the answers. YOU are the expert of your own life. I view my role as a facilitator of the process of self-reflection and inquiry into your internal world.
