As a Psychotherapist, I understand the critical role an individual's mental health plays in one's daily life, which is why therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. Hence, I ensure that when I am extending counselling support and resources to my clients, I approach each session and interaction with the mindset of prioritizing my client's needs by implementing counselling interventions and techniques that consider the biopsychosocial framework of my client while also implementing and maintaining an intersectional approach in addressing their presenting issues, as we all are multi-dimensional.
My role is also to establish rapport with my clients and ensure that their experience during the counselling process allows them to flourish into individuals who choose to live authentic lives and are capable of establishing coping mechanisms and goals which would aid in improving their overall mental health.
