I am a Registered Social worker with over 15 years of experience in the field. I currently work in Inpatient Psychiatry at a local hospital as well as a Counselling Therapist for another counselling platform. I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in many different areas of life (addictions, mental health, grief and loss, spousal conflict and abuse, child abuse, trauma, working with young adults, parenting). I am very passionate about working with new blended families and hope to guide my clients to achieve great family harmony.
I myself am a first generation immigrant to Canada and have lived my teenage years as a refugee. I married into a blended family and became a parent figure to two boys who lost their own mother to breast cancer at a very young age. I believe that blended families are hard work and everyone would benefit from extra support to make this family structure work.
I would love to empower you and help you train your brain to view the world in a different lens. I practice within trauma informed, anti oppressive and intersectional practice. I am currently offering online therapy sessions as well as walk and talk sessions in the community of White Rock and South Surrey.
