Most of my clients come to me because they have something in their life, internally or externally, that they want to address and they need to feel heard, seen and validated in the process. If that sounds like you, welcome! Meeting and opening up to a new counsellor can feel vulnerable and scary for most of us (including myself) but the benefits of counselling: stronger self-awareness and compassion, improved emotional health, new tools & support, are well worth it. I believe in meeting you where you’re at and will use my years of experience and tools to help you get to where you want to be. I am currently accepting new clients.
I work with a wide range of ages from teenagers to adulthood with a variety of challenges that people face including: trauma, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, grief and loss, family relationships, burnout/return to work, etc. I have many years of experience providing counselling and clinical supervision and feel confident that I can support you.
I grew up in Kamloops and spent many years working in Northern British Columbia and overseas. I am proud of my Indigenous, Irish, and Norwegian background which informs my practice. I'm glad to be able to offer culturally inclusive, trauma-informed, and person-centred supports. I'll be happy to work with you and support you along on your wellness journey!
