Hello, stranger. Welcome to the journey of finding a therapist. I tend to work with folks who, like me, are creative, neurodivergent, queer, and spiritually or politically minded - those grappling with how to live, how to love, and how to stay tender in a complicated world. I’m interested in exploring how we’ve come to tell the stories that we do, and how we can challenge, resist, and expand these narratives in order to challenge, embrace, and expand ourselves and one another. My style is relational, curious, and exploratory, and makes room for whatever comes; from the heavy and painful to the joyful and absurd.
My approach is rooted in somatic therapy, mindfulness, attachment theory, and parts work. Attachment and parts work can help us make sense of that which we’ve carried, and that what still needs care, whereas embodied awareness and practices can enable us to tune into our experiences, and to move through stuck patterns with curiosity and compassion.
Coming to this work shaped by a decade of frontline social service work, I practice from a trauma-informed, harm-reduction oriented, and intersectional framework. I believe that personal healing, community, and collective liberation are deeply intertwined - and that therapy, at its best, helps us build capacity to show up for ourselves and for one another.
