Each of us can be impacted by anxiety, stress, trauma and relationship difficulties as we go through life. I assist individuals in processing difficult emotions and experiences, navigating life transitions, learning new coping and relationship skills as well as exploring identity and developing a strong sense of self. Systemic discrimination has a profound impact on mental health, and I aim to offer safe counselling services to queer, trans, non-binary, neurodiverse and culturally diverse clients. I believe that every person is the expert and author of their life story, and my role is to assist you in writing the next chapter.
I am a registered clinical counsellor (R.C.C. no. 19204), who centers attunement, listening, non-judgment and client expertise of their healing journey in my work. Satir Family and Dialectical Behaviour Therapies (DBT) heavily inform my work with clients. I also use CBT and art-based interventions to meet clients where they are at.
Fear of the unknown can lead to hesitation in reaching out for support. Finding a counsellor who is a good fit for you is essential in developing a trusting, professional relationship. This is why I offer complimentary 15-minute phone consultations where you can ask questions, get to know me, and express what you hope to get out of counselling.
