Have you tried therapy before for your trauma (PTSD) and while you found the insights helpful, it still feels as though there is a missing piece in your healing journey? Do you suspect your trauma experience(s) may be impacting your sexual expression - like having low desire, dissociating during intimacy, or struggling to enjoy pleasure? Do you experience things like anxiety or have panic attacks, or have you been diagnosed with BPD, but believe these are a result of your trauma experience? Are you looking for someone who you can talk to about these things who really gets it and isn't going to shame you?

Integrating Somatic Experiencing with parts work and DBT, I will support you to understand your trauma symptoms and learn new strategies for self-regulation. We will work to build capacity for you to feel a full range of emotions without becoming overwhelmed (aka anxious, panicked, depressed, shut down) or turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Choosing a therapist can be overwhelming! There are a lot of options and it's hard to know who is the right fit. I always recommend clients do a few consultations and see who they feel comfortable with - trust your body, trust your gut!
