I'm someone who tries to be the best person they can be and believe it helps me in fulfilling my passion for supporting people. I have a deep interest in the human experience and find sincere joy when people understand, appreciate, achieve or discover the strength and resilience already inside of them. I don't take myself too seriously and take pride in my humility. I believe supporting you means 'meeting you where you are at', without judgement and without an agenda. I am conscious of my social location when working with you and maintain awareness of my unconscious biases and their impact on the therapeutic experience.
I hold a Masters degree in Social Work and am a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have over 8 years' experience working with individuals in hospital as well as community settings - the majority of which experiencing anxiety and/or depression, grief/loss and addictions.
I love that I'm able to be in a space where I can support another human being on their journey through life.
