Currently, I support children, youth, and adults and families who have survived difficult lived experiences, who now are recovering, rehabilitating and may be in need of Therapeutic support.
Objectives are unique to each individual and can include:
to promoting self awareness, expression, enhancing emotional regulation, enhancing communication skills, creating musical and non musical coping strategies, enhancing social skills and relational bonding, and enhancing cognition and motor functioning.
I am honoured to offer individual and group music therapy, talk therapy and Reiki sessions that are informed by several approaches. These include, humanistic music therapy, neurologic music therapy, community music therapy and dialectical behavioural therapy. In addition, care is always informed by current research on grief, trauma, and mental health.
It can be a great challenge too cope with the fast paced, chaotic world we live in, let alone our own innate needs. My role within the therapeutic relationship is not to fix or dictate your healing process. It is to be a witness, a guide and a support as you unfold and grow deeper into the person you’d like to become. Thank you for allowing me this honour.
