Its definitions become our beliefs; our beliefs become our judgments; and our judgments become very real emotions — even when they are based on a mirage. This is why the investigation of language is central to my approach. My aim is to unlock your inner philosopher: the part of you that asks the right questions and questions the wrong answers. Once you become intimately familiar with your mind, you will find your own company quite charming, and may end up becoming your own best friend.
I use a blend of philosophy, existential therapy, psychoanalysis, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy, alongside movies, books, memes, and thought experiments, with the ultimate aim of forcing the abstract chaos of the mind into the tangible structure of language.
The only kind of homework I give is a movie that is relevant to a core idea or question we discussed; then you can tell your friends you went to therapy for movie suggestions.
