I work with preteens, teens, and adults, offering in-person and virtual sessions in Shediac, Moncton, and surrounding areas.
Emotional pain can leave us anxious, depressed, or relying on patterns that no longer serve us. Through CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy, we can work toward emotional regulation and self-compassion. We’ll explore difficult experiences with curiosity instead of judgment, building practical tools to help you move forward with greater clarity and direction.

If you were to ask me what my specialties are, I'd say: youth, concussions, infertility and men's mental health.
It's really hard to reach out sometimes. For some, tagging in help is a challenge. Counselling does not need to feel overwhelming. Every individual session will be different. You may be looking for direction, someone to give you guidance. For some, they need a listening ear or a sounding board. Either way, help is an email or phone call away. You're not alone. I'm here to help you help yourself; sometimes the first step to "helping yourself" is tagging in a knowledgeable counsellor.

I support adults and youth who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in survival mode, often navigating chronic stress or past experiences that continue to impact their daily life.
My approach is grounded in the belief that lasting change happens not just through insight, but through reconnecting with the body and nervous system. Guided by CBT, DBT and somatic approaches, we work together to develop tools that feel practical and sustainable.

Although I have worked with many different populations throughout my career, including youth, perinatal women, trauma survivors and gender-diverse individuals, my clinical focus is less oriented towards a certain category of person and more towards a specific attitude or mindset: a desire to see change and growth in your personal life and a willingness to engage with the process authentically.
My strength as a therapist lies in my ability to build genuine, meaningful connections with my clients. I offer a safe and supportive space where you will feel seen and heard; I will respect your personal values and decisions but will also challenge you when appropriate. I often bring humour into our work, but we're still doing the work.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
