I would be honoured to be a part of your journey to finding self-understanding and acceptance.
Do you remember when you were learning how to ride a bike? Undoubtedly, the process of learning was through trial, error, and perhaps guidance from a caregiver. It’s a common misconception that a therapist’s role is to simply give advice. That is not the case. My role in our therapeutic relationship is to guide you through the process – just like learning to ride a bike for the first time. It takes effort, time, and perhaps some discomfort…But the “aha” moment of finding balance brings a sense of freedom and independence.

Life’s challenges can leave us feeling anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed—whether from past trauma, relationship struggles, depression, or daily stress. I work with clients who want to feel more connected with themselves, in their relationships, supported in their mental health, and in control of how they respond to stress, anxiety, or past experiences. We’ll explore what’s holding you back, ease the weight of old patterns, and create space for growth. I specialize in trauma and sexual violence, but my expertise also includes anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addiction, emotional processing, and general mental health.

As of April 1st, I will be taking on in-person clients down Fredericton.
It can be difficult to reach out to a professional to open up about your inner world and learning to trust a therapist can be unnerving. A lot of people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little to no opportunity for interaction or authentic connection. Although calling a therapist can be intimidating, I don't believe therapy has to be an intimidating process. I can assure you that as a practitioner, I use a warm empathic approach to connect. Life is too precious to surrender to unhealthy relationships, low self-worth, addiction, and trauma.

If you’re dealing with anxiety, trauma, or overwhelming emotions, it can feel like your reactions are automatic—like you’re stuck in patterns you can’t control. Overthinking, shutting down, or feeling constantly on edge can become part of daily life. The good news is that these responses are learned, which means they can also change.
Real change doesn’t come from simply knowing what to do—it comes from practicing new ways of responding in everyday life.

I help people reconnect with themselves, regulate their nervous system, and trust their intuition again.
Research shows the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is the greatest predictor of positive therapy outcomes, so our relationship with one another will always be my top priority.

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
