Establishing a positive, collaborative relationship with clients is essential to my practice.
Throughout my life and career, I have helped others to deal with a diverse array of challenges, including issues related to illness—both chronic and terminal—parenting, behavioral concerns, and substance use. I have significant experience working with Indigenous peoples in community settings, where I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face, as well as the resilience and strength within these communities. My experience also encompasses supporting individuals grappling with substance misuse, racial issues, trauma, grief and loss, PTSD, and anxiety.

You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of the people I work with are navigating something quieter but just as heavy: a transition they did not expect, a pattern they cannot seem to break, a version of themselves they are trying to grow into. I work with children, adolescents, and adults across all stages of life. Whether a child building confidence, a teen finding their footing socially, or an adult moving through change and uncertainty, I meet each person where they are and build from there.

It is a place where both individuals and couples came come for counselling therapy and can leave with deeper insight into themselves, an increased sense of calm, closer connection to themselves and others, and healed trauma wounds.
We are also a training center for interns completing their Masters level - student internships. We love investing in new therapists and helping them increase in skill. Because of this, we are also able to offer therapy at a reduced rate for individuals who are interested in working with them. Sessions with our student interns are $75.

You might be a parent watching your child struggle at school and not knowing how to help. You might be managing your own ADHD diagnosis later in life, or trying to hold everything together while caring for your kids and your aging parents at the same time. Maybe it is anxiety, depression, or just the quiet exhaustion of feeling like too much is always on your plate. Whatever brought you here, you do not have to figure it out alone. I work with children, teens, and adults who are ready to understand themselves better and build something that actually lasts.

I have been practicing for 12 years and focus specifically on couples/marriage counselling, and men’s issues.
I practice EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) with couples—the most effective and well researched couple therapy—to help understand emotional reactions and heal through new connections. I am also specialized in trauma therapy and often suggest we use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to address symptoms.

Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
