Are you feeling overwhelmed? Frustrated? Weighed down by your emotions, and the stress of day-to-day life? Maybe you are facing challenges in your relationships, stress from work or home, problems from the past that just don’t seem to be getting resolved, or new challenges, like the loss of a loved one or fears about the future. Often our journey to seek counselling comes after we have tried all our go-to methods for coping, but they just don’t seem to be working anymore. You’re feeling stuck or blocked from what matters to you, and you are ready to try something different. If this is where you are, I'm glad you're seeking support.
Counselling is a unique experience, where you get to come just as you are, imperfections and all, to be met by a therapist who is committed and attentive to what matters most to you. As your therapist, it is my goal to foster a space where you can come to gain new insights, learn new coping skills, and release the burdens that have been weighing you down.
As a Clinical Social Worker (MSW) working in health and community settings, I use an integrative counselling approach that combines EMDR, CBT and DBT to create a customized counselling plan for you. I specialize working with individuals ages 16+, and have experience treating insomnia, grief, anger, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and trauma.
