About
Some problems are exceedingly difficult to solve on our own. We become accustomed to our way of understanding ourselves and our issues, and it is difficult to take a novel perspective. One of the main goals of psychotherapy is to provide a different lens to look through, so that we can begin to think differently about ourselves and our problems. A different perspective can provide the space to begin a process of change.
I work with adults in individual, psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapy, dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, loss, relationships, life-change and others. We work collaboratively to understand the current situation, and also try to identify its roots in past experiences and patterns of interaction.
In addition to working with specific problems, my aim in psychotherapy is to increase the overall life satisfaction and contentment of my clients. Currently, I am only offering telephone or on-line sessions.
