We all can experience challenges to attain certain milestones. This part of the human experience teaches adaptive skills on our learning trajectories. We get stuck when complex issues, like trauma, marginalization, mental health and addiction get in the way of our potential. Relationship is the antidote to suffering and it enables skills development to realize our potentials and confront challenges. I foster a trusting therapeutic relationship for a safe and supportive exploratory process into your thoughts, feelings, history, and experiences to identify obstacles and develop tools to reach the milestones of a fulfilling life.
I have diverse experience using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I am trained in EMDR and specialize in trauma. I function relationally, non-judgmentally, and collaboratively from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centred perspective, using sociology, neuroscience, attachment and family systems theories, and anti-oppressive practice values.
Individual experiences and needs are diverse and nuanced. I use an integrated therapeutic approach using evidence-based modalities for individualized adaptive service planning. I offer online services to anyone in BC and in-person counselling in the Vernon area, including the option to walk (or sit) and talk outside. I am a CVAP and FNHA service provider
