On a warm Tuesday morning in September, my mother died after a period of great suffering. I could not imagine my life without her, and I did not have any idea how my life was going to continue. Her doctor encouraged me to see my mother’s death as though it had brought her freedom. Freedom was a concept that I had never known before; sadness and pain were what I knew. On that day, I started my search of freedom until I found it years later.
Clients who come to me transform their lives and experience joy and personal fulfillment. I use a trauma-informed approach that integrates EMDR, which is recognized as a leading trauma-resolution treatment. My services are LGBTQ2S+ inclusive and based on an anti-oppressive/anti-racist practice.i
