I work from the perspective that we’re all managing something, no matter what age. Whether it’s worries, relationship challenges, or problems with learning. Sometimes we need help understanding what it is that’s happening for us, while other times we understand the challenge, but not how to make changes. I meet you wherever it is you’re at, whether you’re seeking help for yourself or for your child.
I’m an advocate for Bruce Perry’s shift from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”, and work from an attachment and trauma-informed lens. That really means I believe in the power of relationships and our experiences – both in understanding how we got to where we are today, as well as to find the path forward.
I work with children, parents, families, and adults, providing therapy and assessment. At Growing Roots, we’re also trained and experienced in infant and preschool mental health. A match between your needs and what I can provide is important – I offer free phone and in-person consultations so that we can both decide if working together would be a fit.
