Children experience the world differently. Adults can talk; children prefer to play. Play therapy allows freedom and growth. The play experience takes children's focus off negative self-talk and promotes positive self-awareness. Play therapy helps to explore emotions, work through challenges, and nurtures mastery and resilience. As a Registered Play Therapist with advanced training in play therapy, I can help you find a way to connect with your child. A fully equipped playroom with special toys allows children to fully express their feelings, and supports their growth and changes.
I counsel children, families, and couples, focusing on children's feelings and improving family dynamics. I apply Play Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to help children with anxiety, attention difficulties, stress, behavioural concerns, bullying, grief and loss, parent-child conflict, and support children's feelings after their parents' divorce.
I am passionate about working with children, parents, and families and have many years of experience with play-based therapy, which is children's natural way of communicating. I am bilingual and speak Russian and English. At this time, I am not taking on clients that involve legal proceedings, mediation, or legal report writing.
