As we go through life’s ups and downs, understanding and expressing the emotions connected to our experiences isn’t always easy. I’m passionate about helping others explore the underlying causes of their difficulties in order to begin their healing journeys. My experiences led me to focus on working with a trauma and attachment lens. I have worked with people of all ages from many walks of life in corrections, education, children’s services, and other mental health settings. The positive impact that meaningful connections with others provides has always inspired me, leading me to private practice, joining DC Psychological Services.
My approach to therapy is client led, utilizing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, positive psychology through a trauma informed & attachment lens, and therapy with a family system dynamic. My specialties include grief & loss, self care & compassion, working with trauma, and compassion fatigue & burnout.
Life can be uncertain at times and connecting with others is essential during our difficult moments. Reaching out for support takes courage, but know you don't have to face the world alone. I would love to have the privilege of walking alongside you, building a powerful, positive, therapeutic relationship while supporting you on your journey of self-healing.
