About
I have a profound respect for the therapeutic process. I acknowledge that every human being has a story, some parts painful, and other parts hopeful. I hope to draw on that hope with you, help you discover your existing resilience, strength, and ability to cope through the hard times and discomfort. I use a tailored approach for all people, because each individual is unique and deserves to be seen as such. Your feelings are valid and I can help you tap into them in a safe space where you will be heard and not judged.
I work from an anti-oppressive/anti-racist framework and believe in using a compassionate approach with individuals. Being vulnerable takes courage along with practice, and sometimes we all need a lift to develop the muscle of self-discovery.
I have a particular background in working with individuals who have past trauma and are survivors of abuse. I use different modalities and tools depending on where you are at, and what you would like to achieve in therapy. If this sounds like it could be the right approach for you, then please reach out.
