I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and have been working in the mental health and substance abuse sector for over 13 years. I work with clients with a wide variety of psychological, health and life problems including those struggling with trauma, depression, grief and loss, addiction and relationship issues. I have a passion for connecting with people through counselling sessions nurtured by mutual trust and understanding. I love building relationships with clients and creating an environment that is open to discuss anything without judgement or shame.
My work has taught me to believe in my clients’ strengths and to work collaboratively with them. While the dialogue may be difficult at times, the goal for my clients is to work towards gaining renewed hope, a deeper understanding of themselves and a reason to carry on.
Counselling is not about giving advice, it is about walking alongside people to help them see things they might be missing.
