Are you a man wondering how to express what’s really going on inside without feeling judged? Or a couple struggling to reconnect amidst arguments or unspoken hurts? I’m here to help. As a therapist specializing in men’s issues and couples therapy, I understand the unique challenges you face today. Relationships are harder than ever, with social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram flooding us with out-of-context therapy-speak and quick-fix advice. Add to that the confusion around roles in relationships and parenthood—whether it’s balancing “provider” expectations or navigating new parent exhaustion—and it’s easy to feel lost.

Waitlist for new clients
Please note that I am currently accepting new clients to join my waitlist for August 2025 - - - We can all go through challenges in life that leave us feeling confused, hurt, or unsure of how to move forward. Through working to discover and heal from old ways of thinking and feeling, in both mind and body, we can free ourselves from the unhelpful ties to the past and focus on a future that is of our creation. While providing a safe and compassionate space, my approach is creative, open, and flexible. I understand that just as painful experiences are unique for each person, so is their healing process.

You’re not “too sensitive.” You’re not “too much.” You’re a human being who feels deeply, and that’s your strength. Maybe you’ve been trying to keep it all together, showing up for everyone else, but silently wondering: When is it my turn? You’re exhausted, anxious, stuck in patterns that don’t serve you anymore, and you’re ready for change. Not just surface-level, but something real and lasting. That’s where I come in. If you’re tired of trying to “fix” yourself and ready to start truly knowing yourself, I’d love to work with you.

All of us experience stressors and struggles in our lives. Essentially, it is about how we process these situations that can leave long-lasting impacts. There is no right or wrong way in the processing of these events, rather there are healthy versus unhealthy coping skills. My role is to facilitate your emotional and mental health journey, to aid in building up resiliency so that you are better able to manage and work through those stressors.

Welcome! I'm glad you’re here. Maybe you're feeling anxious, burnt out, stuck, or just not like yourself lately. You might be juggling a lot—work stress, relationship stuff, self-doubt, or a big life change. Maybe you’re the caregiver: a nurse, teacher, parent/family member supporting someone with mental health struggles and it's taking a toll. I help people make sense of their emotions, navigate relationships, and feel more grounded in who they are. I also work with men looking to explore their emotions and the pressures they face. Whether you're looking for clarity, healing, or just a little space to breathe, I’m here to help.

You're a highly sensitive person and empath with a tendency to say "yes" too much. You have read the self-help books, tried things like meditation, journaling, and positive thinking - maybe you've been to therapy before, but you still feel stuck. This might look like people pleasing, self-sabotage, overwhelm or overthinking. Maybe for you it's anxiety, ADHD, low self esteem, overdrinking, procrastination, and difficulty regulating emotions. Often, this can show up as difficulties in interpersonal relationships - either being attracted to the wrong people or having a hard time finding fulfillment in your existing relationships

Everybody (generally speaking) wants the same thing deep down: security, acceptance, and significance. We are all fractured in different ways (whether self-induced, traumatized by others, or a combination of both) and it is imperative and healthy to sort through this. Clients who are serious about personal development and positive change are ideal because they are the ones who will grow. This involves motivation, truth telling, understanding, and application. If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, addictions, trauma, relational issues, spiritual issues, etc. then rest assured that healing is possible and there is hope.

You are constantly walking on eggshells. Always on high alert, your highly sensitive brain is always scanning other people's expressions to make sure everything is okay. You over-apologize, over-explain, over-share or disconnect and push your emotions deep down. You feel different - too emotional, too “much”. A sense of loneliness and longing for something you can’t describe looms in the background of everything you do. No matter what you try the feeling that there’s “something wrong with you” just won’t let up. You try to feel better - you have journaled, meditated, tried therapy, medication, breathwork…but nothing helps for long

You’re overwhelmed by the weight of expectations, perhaps as a mother, constantly tending to others while losing sight of yourself. I support individuals navigating low self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. This includes women in motherhood, young adults finding their footing, and anyone trying to reconnect with who they are after years of people-pleasing or self-doubt.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

Most Counsellors and Psychotherapists listed in the directory are certified by one of the main professional associations, mainly the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and will have a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) designation with their name. Social Workers listed in the directory must be registered members of the college specific to their province. To be listed in the directory, Psychologists must be registered with the psychological college specific to their province or territory.

Providers whose professional membership or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Given the considerable variation in professional regulation and prerequisites across Canadian provinces, some providers may possess significant professional qualifications without necessarily holding professional memberships or being obliged to acquire them. As a result, they may be selectively included without the "Verified" seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?

Psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists and social workers can all provide counselling or talking therapy and have credentials and supervised, practical experience that enable them to do so in Canada.

Psychologists have a master's and/or doctoral degree and have passed both written and oral exams. Psychologists are able to complete mental health assessments and provide diagnostic information to clients as well as provide counselling therapy or psychotherapy. Counsellors and psychotherapists are expected to have a master's or doctoral degree in counselling psychology, social work, or a related mental health discipline and certification by a professional association, such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Registered Social Workers possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work and where possible must be licensed or certified by the provincial government and/or regulatory college.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, the cost of a therapy session in Canada could be between $100 and $200. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

If you are struggling to access therapy due to budget constraints, you could also consider public funded mental health services. Some types of outpatient mental health services are covered by Medicare, provided these are performed by a licensed mental health professional in the provinces or territory you reside in and who accepts the assignment.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postal code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Professionals licensed by regulatory colleges and those certified by associations such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association are obligated to uphold client confidentiality unless there is a legal reason that requires them to disclose information. Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship and only under specific circumstances, such as when there is the potential or known harm to the client or others, or a court order, will a therapist be obligated to break the agreement. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed during the initial consultation.
